September 12 2016
Once again the Mo - Montepulciano d’Abruzzo PDO Riserva shone in the eyes of a prestigious panel of judges, winning the gold medal at the Berliner Wein Trophy 2016. Launched in 2015, this wine has already received many major awards, such as the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri 2016 and gold medals at the latest Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada, the Challenge International du Vin and the Mundus Vini 2015. It has an intense fruity bouquet, with hints of black cherry and forest fruits. This Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is aged for twenty-four months in oak casks and six months in the bottle so it improves with time. Established in 1994, the Berliner Wein Trophy is now one of the most important wine competitions in the world and is sponsored by the OIV (International Organisation of Wine and Vine). Only two competitions in Germany - and 19 all around the world - have endorsed the standards set by the OIV for international wine competitions, which provide participants with the highest guarantee of an objective assessment for their product.
